What types of projects do you take on?
House of Bigger offers design services for projects of all sizes—from furnishing and styling individual spaces to remodels and full-scale new construction. Each project is tailored to your home, your style, and the level of support you need.
When should I bring you into my new construction or remodel?
The earlier, the better! Bringing a designer in during the planning stages allows us to think through the entire home before decisions start piling up—from layouts and cabinetry to lighting, finishes, fixtures, and all of the details in between.
Can you work with my builder or contractor?
Absolutely. I’m happy to collaborate with your builder, contractor, architect, and trades throughout the process. My role is to help establish the design direction, make thoughtful selections, and keep the overall vision cohesive from start to finish.
Can I hire you for just one room?
Yes! Not every project needs to be a whole-home project. Whether you need help furnishing a living room, designing a nursery, refreshing a bathroom, or finally pulling together a space that doesn’t feel quite finished, I’d love to help.
Do you offer design services if I don't live near you?
Absolutely! I love to travel for projects within a reasonable distance. And if you’re farther away, our Virtual Design service might be the perfect fit!
I'm not sure what service I need. Should I still inquire?
Absolutely! You don’t need to have your project completely figured out before reaching out. Tell me a little about your home, where you are in the process, and what you need help with. From there, I can help determine which House of Bigger service is the best fit.
What if I don't know my design style?
That’s completely okay—and actually very common. You don’t need to know exactly what your style is before we begin. Part of my job is getting to know what you’re drawn to, how you live, and how you want your home to feel, then translating that into a cohesive design.
How much does it cost to work with House of Bigger?
Every project is a little different, and pricing depends on the scope of work and level of design support needed. Once I learn more about your project, I’ll recommend the service that makes the most sense and clearly outline pricing before we begin.
Can you incorporate furniture or pieces I already own?
Of course. I love incorporating pieces you already own when they work for the space. Your home should feel personal and collected—not like everything was purchased from the same place at the same time.
What does the design process look like?
It starts with getting to know you, your space, and what you’re hoping to accomplish. From there, we’ll establish the overall design direction and work through the selections needed for your project. The exact process varies depending on the scope, but my goal is always to make the decision-making feel organized, thoughtful, and a whole lot less overwhelming.
